We were honoured to present our research among so many brilliant, thoughtful, and exceptional advocates and allies of Indigenous culture and knowledge at OEGlobal 2023. Among the amazing keynotes from Darrion Letendre, Sandra Lamouche, and Kayla Lar-Son, and presenters as Jeanien Bell, the community built through tackling difficult and challenging discussions of Indigenous engagement in open education provided us with a sense of the importance and timeliness of this type of research.
We are leaving this conference with more questions than answers, and an excitement to listen and elevate Indigenous voices and perspectives in OE.
